Lonesome George is the last of his subspecies of Galapagos Giant Tortoise, and is kept at the Darwin Center on Santa Cruz. Scientists have been searching since 1972 for a mate for George. This is not a photo of Old George ending his abstinance, but attempting to scare this female away from the morning feeding.
