Our First Golf Lesson.

On day 2 we resolved to make up for lost time by starting off with a bucket of balls on the driving range before it got too hot. This costs F$10.00. The chap we had met the day before wasn't around but another gentleman offered to give us some instruction.

We were quite chuffed with our progress so we splashed out on a second bucket. We both had rounds of applause from spectators and our instructor when we made good shots. Could they have been rent-a-crowd hired as a marketing ploy? After paying the man and giving him a tip ( there is no official charge for instruction) he offered to take us round the golf course the following afternoon for free including the use of his personal golf clubs! (There is normally a charge of F$11.00 for clubs) Perhaps we had been too generous!

We then booked for tennis at 5:00. This is also free.

We spent the time in between relaxing on the balcony and updating the journal.

The tennis proved a bit of a dissappointment as the court was very slippery and covered in pot holes and we had to sign to say we did not hold the hotel liable for any injury which was a bit disconcerting!
